Kavikulguru Institute of Technology and Science (K.I.T.S) is an engineering college affiliated to the Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University and situated in the city of Ramtek, Nagpur district in the Indian state of Maharashtra.
He represented the Ramtek constituency of Maharashtra and was a member of the Shiv Sena (SS) political party, after resignation of Subodh Mohite from Lok Sabha and Shiv Sena and joining Congress.
Except Purohit, Keshaorao Shende stood as a VRP candidate in Ramtek, and got 9 046 votes (1,4%).

Golwalkar was born on 19 February 1906 at Ramtek near Nagpur, Maharashtra; the only surviving son of the nine children of his parents: Sadashivrao, a school teacher and Lakshmibai.
