Along with Shaikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum the Al Owais, Al Mulla family and Qais Bin Abdul Munaim Al Zawawi, he negotiated the deal to make Dubai the first place in the Middle East to bottle, distribute and market the Pepsi brand.

In 1980, along with Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum and Sultan Al Owais he founded, Jeema Mineral Water Company.
In 1966, India devalued the rupee, and Qatar and Dubai adopted the Gulf rupee as a common currency, whilst Abu Dhabi adopted the Bahraini dinar.

The chairman and CEO of The Emirates Group, HH Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, is the younger brother of the former ruler of Dubai, HH Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, and uncle of the current ruler, HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
Before returning to Oman, after the Sultan deposed his father in a bloodless coup, Al Zawawi studied in India and then moved to Dubai, where he helped set up the Pepsi-Cola Operations with Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, the then Ruler of Dubai (1958–1990), H.E. Sultan bin Ali Al Owais and Mohamed Yehia Zakaria, both prominent business men.
