The first flagship Carlos Miele shop in New York City was designed by architect Hani Rashid, and was the New York City entry to the International Architecture Biennale in São Paulo.
Rashid's academic career includes visiting professorships at several universities, including the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen, the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc) in Los Angeles, the Harvard University Graduate School of Design, the Berlage Institute in Amsterdam, the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor) and the Lund University.
Lise Anne Couture (born 1959 in Montreal, Canada) is a principal of Asymptote Architecture, the New York-based practice that she co-founded with Hani Rashid in 1989.
Van der Heide joined the Arup practice in 2004, and subsequently worked on projects including Star Place in Taiwan and Galleria West in South Korea, both in collaboration with Ben van Berkel and the 2004 Architecture Biennale show in Venice in collaboration with Hani Rashid of Asymptote.
Strata Tower is a forty-story luxury residential building, designed by New-York based architects Hani Rashid and Lise Anne Couture of Asymptote Architecture, currently being built on Al Raha Beach, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
The Hotel, designed by Hani Rashid and Lise Anne Couture, principals of New York based Asymptote Architecture, consists of two twelve story hotel towers, one set within the race circuit and another placed in the Marina itself, linked together by a monocoque steel and glass bridge and Grid Shell structure that both cross above and over the Yas Marina Circuit F1 race track.
