Rebecca Riots

The film was not released until 1992, and starred Peter O'Toole, Paul Rhys and Joely Richardson.

In 1948 Dylan Thomas wrote the screenplay for a film, Rebecca's Daughters, which was published as a novel of the same name in 1965.

Some versions of the story say that these clothes were borrowed from a woman called Rebecca living near his home at the foot of the Preseli Hills.

Sir Thomas Frankland Lewis, 1st Baronet

Lewis chaired the commission on the Rebecca Riots, and the subsequent commission that abolished the turnpike trusts.
