Wilson is running a campaign against the carrying of knives in conjunction with the local daily paper and victims families and he has been very active in campaigning on local Transport issues, including the upgrading of Reading railway station and the extension of the Crossrail project to Reading.

In Vancouver in 2008 she joined an ensemble band with Trish Klein and Frazey Ford of The Be Good Tanyas, Simon Kendall of Doug and The Slugs, Rob Wilson, Mark Beatty, Khari McClelland and John Raham for a series of live gospel shows titled The Sweet Sounds Gospel Show.
Before becoming the first male model for The Price Is Right, Rob Wilson has co-starred in episodes of the television series The Secret Life of the American Teenager and The Middle.
