Intending only to stay at Queens a semester before transferring to a more prestigious institution, she changed her mind after joining the soccer program headed by former Israeli international Roby Young.
He coached the Queen's College men's soccer team from 1986–1989 and the women's football (soccer) team at Queens College from 1999-2008.
