Bogumilus

Later Pope Paul VI would bestow on Bogumilus the patronage of the Archdiocese of Gniezno.

Regent

In the interim, it was the Roman Catholic Primate (the Archbishop of Gniezno) who served as the regent, termed the "interrex" (Latin: ruler "between kings" as in ancient Rome).


Edmund Dalbor

Confirmed on November 7, 1889, he was educated at the Men's Grammar School in Ostrow, the University of Münster, and the seminary of Gniezno and Poznań before traveling to Rome in 1892 to further his studies.

Edward Likowski

He gained a bachelor's in 1861 from Monastir and was ordained a priest on 21 December 1861 in the diocese of diocese of Gniezno-Poznań.

Recovered Territories

The Bishopric of Lebus remained a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Gniezno until 1424, when it passed under the jurisdiction of the Archbishopric of Magdeburg.
