On July 8, 2006, Spinks earned his fifth world title, the IBF Junior Middleweight Championship (also called Super Welterweight by some sanctioning bodies), in a fight with reigning champion Roman Karmazin at the Savvis Center.
Roman Karmazin (born January 2, 1973 in Kuznetsk) is the former IBF Light Middleweight champion of the world.
In 2000, he took on future titleist Roman Karmazin and lost in a TKO 3 after he failed to come out of his corner.
In May 2006, the KTC hosted former undisputed welterweight champion Cory Spinks as he trained for his comeback fight against another Don King-backed fighter, IBF super welterweight champ Roman Karmazin.
His only draw came early in his career in an eight-round fight against Javier Manuel Martinez in Avilés, Spain.
