He would go on to set a goal scoring record for the club and his appearance record was only beaten by Ross Caven at the turn of the next century.
Caven made his debut for Queen's Park at the age of 17 in a 2–0 defeat by Clydebank at Kilbowie Park on 25 September 1982.
