Ross Masood

Sayyid Sir Ross Masood (15 February 1889 – 30 July 1937), was the Vice-Chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University starting in 1929.

A residential hall constructed in the year 1969 in Aligarh Muslim University is named after him.

He then entered the Indian Education Service as headmaster of Patna high School, a professor at Ravenshaw College, Cuttack (Orissa), and a fellow of Calcutta, Madras and Osmania universities.

In 1917 he was offered a job in the Education Department of Hyderabad State as Divisional Inspector of School by the Director of Education Sir Ross Masood.
