Patrick Henry Curtis Carew (b. 1931), great-grandson of Thomas Carew (1810–1876), third son of the seventh Baronet, is a Brigadier-General in the Royal Canadian Dragoons.
The Regiment is made up of HQ,A,B,C,D Squadrons l A,B,D Squadron's based at CFB Petawawa are Recce Squadron's each have 12 Coyote Reconnaissance Vehicles organized into 3 Troops 2 Troops are Recce with 6 Coyotes each and an Assault Troop per Squadron l C Squadron based at CFB Gagetown is currently equipped with the Leopard C2 and will soon be equipped with 19 Leopard 2A4M's

Authorized on 21 March 1898 and commanded by Lieutenant Colonel Thomas Dixon Byron Evans of the Royal Canadian Dragoons, the force consisted of 5 Staff, 16 Royal Canadian Dragoons, 49 men of the Royal Canadian Artillery and 133 men of the Royal Regiment of Canadian Infantry armed with Lee-Enfield .303 rifles, two Maxim guns and two bronze seven-pounder cannons.
