One of the most significant of the Royal Economic Society’s recent activities was the inauguration of The Econometrics Journal (EctJ) in 1998.

In 2011 the Editors of The Econometrics Journal initiated the annual Denis Sargan Econometrics Prize, awarded annually to the best article published in journal.


Richard Portes

He was the longest serving Secretary-General of the Royal Economic Society (1992–2008) since John Maynard Keynes.
