Produced with fine carbon steel, the Positive Special featured Colt’s characteristic highly polished surfaces and was available with Colt's signature bright royal blued finish as well as a nickel plated veneer.

In 1929 the company started a coastal express service between Bournemouth and Margate, joint with East Kent Road Car Company and Hants & Dorset in competition with an existing Royal Blue service.
For the 2006–07 season, the ball had grey stars trimmed in red and white and the Finale Athens ball is a chrome silver metallic with royal blue and white.
They were available in the same colour choices as the RP35 AM Herald, and there was a variant with a revised scale in royal blue that incorporated the Open University logo in place of the local stations.
The change of control also meant that Royal Blue switched to Bristol for its new coaches – the Tilling Group also controlled the Bristol bus factory.
The Lions, who wear royal blue and white hoops, currently compete in the Barossa Light & Gawler Football Association.
