In some places, the route is also known as Warfield Boulevard (named after S. Davies Warfield, the president of the Seaboard Air Line Railroad who originally built the adjacent railroad tracks).
This ship changed its name in open water in 1947 to the SS Exodus, and gained fame as the vessel that tried to transport 4,500 Jewish refugees from Europe to Palestine, ultimately failing in the endeavor.
