Red Island Minerals Ltd (RIM) is a Perth-based coal development company founded by Sam Malin (who is also project originator), along with others, to develop the Sakoa, Sakamena and adjacent coal fields in southwestern Madagascar.
Both the Sakamena and Sakoa coal fields are under appraisal and development by Madagascar Consolidated Mining, a subsidiary of Red Island Minerals, a company founded by Sam Malin.
