Giovanni Boveri (Boverius) (Saluzzo, 1568-Genoa, 1638) was an Italian jurist, who became a Capuchin Friar Minor, taking the name Zacharias.
He married Alasia of Saluzzo (Alice de Saluces), the daughter of Manfred III of Saluzzo and sister to Thomas I of Saluzzo.

In 1992 the regiment was raised once again and today it consists of only the Saluzzo Battalion, based at Borgo San Dalmazzo as part of the Taurinense Brigade.

After the disbandment of the regimental level in the Italian Army, the "Saluzzo" battalion came under direct control of the "Taurinense" brigade.
In the middle of 12th century the Del Vasto family branched again into several lines, governing smaller marquisates, such as Saluzzo (from 1135 to 1548), Finale (ruled by the Del Carretto from 1135 to 1602), Ceva, Busca and Clavesana.
Since 1984 to 1993 was trained by Vincenzo Rossi in Naples and since 1993 to 2000 was trained in Saluzzo by Sandro Damilano, brother of Maurizio and Giorgio Damilano.
Born to Adolph Riccardi and Ifigenia Rasini Di Mortigliengo in Pavia, Italy, (although other sources claim Saluzzo), Riccardi entered the Italian military academy to become a successful career soldier.
In 1465 he married Marguerite di Saluzzo (died after 1478), daughter of Ludovico I, Marquess of Saluzzo.
He also attended a master class given by Vladimir Delman in Parma and a master class given by Aldo Ceccato at the “Scuola di Alto Perfezionamento Professionale” in Saluzzo.
He was trained by from 1980 to 1984 by Roberto Vanzillotta, 1985-1986 by Antonio La Torre, the first half of 1987 by Peter Pastorini and from May 1987 to all 1988 by Sandro Damilano in Saluzzo with Maurizio and Giorgio Damilano.
