Her music was featured on an Atlantic records compilation called Rock N Sole which shipped over 60,000 units to Sam Goody stores.
The project is a five story outdoor retail complex, with the main passage being diagonally oriented to the street grid and at the time anchored by Nordstrom, Macy's, and a Sam Goody music store; and connected to a Westin Hotel and the Balboa Theatre, resulting in an urban mixed-use center.
Due to the misleading nature of the title, several retailers including Best Buy and Sam Goody sent back entire shipments of the album, because they believed that they were actually sent promotional copies of the album rather than the album itself.
However Sam Goody misjudged the marketplace and opened its store directly across the way from the slightly cheaper Our Price store, as well as nearby the successful Stockport value retailer Music Zone (Trade Direct) and HMV.

Jewel & Blaire recorded and released over 6 CD's and cassettes in their hometown in stores such as Sam Goody and National Record Mart, and donated all of the proceeds to the Pittsburgh Children's Hospital.
