He subsequently played the 1989 season for Eintracht Frankfurt in the German Bundesliga, and after a season off, parts of two seasons as a player-coach for the minor league San Diego Gulls before retiring.
Krywulak turned pro during the 1997–98 season, playing in 3 games with the San Diego Gulls of the minor professional West Coast Hockey League (WCHL).
He went on to play eleven seasons of professional hockey, including two seasons in the West Coast Hockey League (WCHL) with the San Diego Gulls where he was recognized for his outstanding play when he was named to the 2001–02 WCHL First All-Star Team.
