The organisation at that time had two paid workers, one of whom, Santosh Koli, later died in a road incident not long after being selected as an election candidate by Kejriwal's Aam Aadmi Party.
Koli was one of the first employees at Parivartan — the NGO that Arvind Kejriwal co-founded in late 2002, marking the entry of Kejriwal, then an Indian Revenue Service officer, into social work.
