Bogdan Saray

After the Fall of Constantinople to the Ottomans in 1453, in sixteenth century the chapel became part of the large land estate bought by the hospodar of Moldavia to host his envoys in Istanbul, and named accordingly Boğdan Sarayi ("Moldavian Palace").

Rakı

The best-known and popular brands of raki, however, remain Yeni Rakı, originally produced by Tekel, which transferred production rights to Mey Alkol upon the 2004 privatization of Tekel, and Tekirdağ Rakısı from the region of Tekirdağ, which is famous for its characteristic flavor, believed to be due to the artesian waters of Çorlu used in its production.

Saray, Tekirdağ

In the 18th century when the Crimean Khanate fell to the Russians, the Giray family of the ruling Khans, descendants of Genghis Khan himself, were settled here by the Ottoman sultans.

At the top north-east corner the land begins to rise to the Strandzha (Yıldız Dağları) range of hills.

Tbilisi Avenue

The avenue was renamed Tbilisi Avenue from its earlier name Saray Highway on September 13, 1963 by the Baku Executive Soviet.
