Hausneindorf

Since 1 January 2010, it is part of the municipality Selke-Aue.

Selke-Aue

It was formed on 1 January 2010 by the merger of the former municipalities Hausneindorf, Heteborn and Wedderstedt.


Bernsbach

The community stretches from the valley of the river Schwarzwasser up to the Spiegelwald (forest) at 728 m above sea level, thereby offering a good view over the Ore Mountain towns of Aue and Schwarzenberg.

Breitenbrunn

The rebuilt locomotives were primarily stationed in Saxony and Thuringia, above all in the locomotive depots (Bahnbetriebswerk or Bw) of Aue, Döbeln, Dresden-Friedrichstadt, Gera, Gotha and Saalfeld.

Hoym

Hoym is located on the river Selke, between the towns Aschersleben and Quedlinburg.

Jugel

The village may be reached by railway on the ZwickauAueSchwarzenberg–Johanngeorgenstadt line and by car along Staatsstraße 272 which runs from Schwarzenberg via Johanngeorgenstadt to Wildenthal.

Konradsburg

After 1120, the Konradsburgs left this fortified hill spur, which lies about 3 kilometres south of Ermsleben and about eight kilometres west of Aschersleben, built Falkenstein Castle in the Selke valley and called themselves Falkensteins from 1142.

Mönchengladbach–Stolberg railway

The concession for the construction and operation of the extension of the line to Hochneukirch, Jülich, Inden and Weisweiler to Eschweiler-Aue, with a total length of 48.77 km, was granted to the BME on 23 September 1870.

Seeburger See

Also known as Auge des Eichsfelds (Eye of the Eichsfeld), the shallow 86.5-hectare (0.865 km2) lake is fed in the west by the Aue creek at Seeburg and drained to the east in Bernshausen by the same creek and lies at an elevation of 157 m AMSL.
