In late March 2006, the owners of KPHX entered into a local marketing agreement with Sheldon Drobny's Nova M Radio thus bringing the Air America progressive/liberal talk format to KPHX.
In mid-2003, the Drobnys met Cohen through a meeting arranged by David Goodfriend, a former Clinton aide and Beloit College classmate of Cohen.
