Gunatitanand Swami served as the Mahant of Junagadh mandir for 40 years.

On 16 September 1867, Gunatitanand Swami paid homage to the murti of Bhagwan Swaminarayan in Junagadh mandir for the last time and departed for a tour of neighboring towns and villages having served as the mahant for 40 years 4 months and 4 days.
The swing with the twelve doors in the Vadtal Temple and the carved wooden doors in the inner temple of the Dholera Temple are a few of his works of art.
Besides the deities in the inner temple and Garbhagriha, Hanuman and Ganapati grace Roop Chowki near the main stairway of the temple.
In 2009, the temple celebrated its 9th anniversary with a Ram Katha, Maha Vishnu Yagna and Maruti Yagna in the presence of Acharya Maharajshree Rakeshprasad Pande.
