Many leading non-Christian thinkers have written extensively on the topic of political theology in recent years, such as Jürgen Habermas, Giorgio Agamben, Simon Critchley, and Slavoj Zizek.
He has held visiting professorships at numerous universities, including Sydney (2000), Notre Dame (2002), Cardozo Law School (2005) and at the University of Oslo (2006).
Their new name was given to them by the philosopher Simon Critchley, and is a play on The Beach Boys.
