John Bannister Gibson

In 1813, Governor Simon Snyder appointed Gibson as judge of the new Eleventh judicial district.

On June 27, 1816, he was appointed by Governor Simon Snyder as an associate-justice of the Supreme Court, to fill the place vacated by the death of his friend, Hugh Brackenridge.

Louis Franklin Bache

Lt. Col. Louis Bache was the commander of a detachment of 351 men in the Pennsylvania State Militia Volunteers which was assigned by Pennsylvania Governor Simon Snyder to defend the City of Philadelphia against the British in the War of 1812.
