In 1970 Summerton started his own talent agency, recruiting in its heyday Noele Gordon, the dance groups Love Machine and Hot Gossip, Lesley Joseph, Sinitta, Bonnie Langford and the Beverly Sisters.
In 1987 Simon Cowell became closely associated with Pete Waterman and would spend time with Waterman at his PWL studios complex, being mentored by him and learning about the effective running of a successful music business.

Cover versions were later recorded by Margie Joseph, Gene Pitney, Nicki French, Sinitta, Globe, Johnny Rivers, C:Real, Claude François (as "Stop au nom de l'amour"), Renata Pacini (as "In nome dell'amore") and The Hollies (who saw their version peaked in America at #29 and in Canada at #31 in 1983).
Singers Sinitta and Hazell Dean would later go on to become successful chart acts - both under the producership of Stock Aitken Waterman.
