Numerous wildlife species can be seen including elephants, gaur, water buffaloes, tigers, panthers, sloth bears, pangolins, Black-headed Orioles, crocodiles, Green Pigeons, civet cats, Dhole, Sambar and 31 groups of endangered lion-tailed macaques.
Exhibits include North and South American, Asian, African and Australian animals such as agouti, emu, green tree python, kangaroo, lemur, lion, white lion, meerkats, owls, sloth bear, and amur leopard.
After a run in with a Sloth bear family, and two failed vigils over two different human kills, Anderson comes across the one-eyed tiger by chance when a Sambar deer sounds its warning.
These forest enclaves provide habitat to several at risk and endangered species, including the Bengal tiger (Panthera tigris), gaur (Bos gaurus), dhole (Cuon alpinus), sloth bear (Melursus ursinus), chousingha (Tetracerus quadricornis), and blackbuck (Antilope cervicapra).
There are eight Clan Leaders and each one is based on the eight species of wild bear - Giant Panda (Bai Bo), Sun Bear (Bruang), Brown Bear (Kodi), Asiatic Black Bear (Basindo), Polar Bear (Nanook), Sloth Bear (Aswail), Spectacled Bear (Buka) and Black Bear (Kinamon).
