At a conference in September 2009 organized by the Southern Sudan Peace Commission and chaired by Brigadier General Louis Lobong Lojore it was agreed to revive this and other joint peace centres.
In October 2009, responding to the recent wave of ethnic violence, SSPC Chairman Louis Lobong Lojore called for the government to take harsh measures to deter others from causing problems.
