He began sending a few MP3 of his recordings to accepting labels, and an A&R rep at Tate Publishing & Enterprises heard his music, combined with him having already played large shows, and led to Saylor being offered a publishing contract with Tate.

In Columbus on March 20, 2013, Saylor opened for Aaron Carter on the After Party Tour, which staged Carter's comeback to the music scene.
