Her first big break as a professional vocalist came in 1947, when she sang in The Hot Club of France with two jazz legends: guitarist Django Reinhardt, and violinist Stéphane Grappelli.
The album draws upon the works of Django Reinhardt and Stéphane Grappelli (and the Duke Ellington, Johnny Mercer, and Billy Strayhorn standard, Satin Doll) in addition to original works by O'Connor and Burr.

It is a sort of dedication to Stéphane Grappelli, one of O'Connor's mentors and influences (Grappelli began to teach him when O'Connor was seventeen).

She has performed and toured worldwide with a wide range of artists including Billy Taylor, Kenny Barron, Stephane Grappelli, Frank Wess, Red Rodney, Laurindo Almeida, Art Farmer, Maxine Sullivan, Roy Haynes, and (as principal flautist with the Monterey Bay Symphony) with Luciano Pavarotti.
Bruce Clarke worked with Frank Sinatra and recorded with him on his tour of Australia, and also worked with Mel Torme, Dizzy Gillespie, Stephane Grappelli, Stan Getz, and Legendary Guitarist John Collins (by whom he was greatly influenced), amongst many other world class musicians.

During its 106-year history, its stage has seen performances from comedians, singers, variety acts and icons such as Harry Lauder, the jazz violinist Stéphane Grappelli, Ken Dodd and a host of other stars.
Burton has played with a wide variety of jazz musicians, including Carla Bley, Hank Garland, Gato Barbieri, Keith Jarrett, Chick Corea, Steve Lacy, Pat Metheny, Makoto Ozone, Tiger Okoshi, Stan Getz, Herbie Hancock, B.B. King, Tommy Smith, Eberhard Weber, Ralph Towner, Peter Erskine, Stephane Grappelli and Ástor Piazzolla.
With violinist Benjamin Schmid (Beni Schmid), in cooperation with Biréli Lagrène and Stian Carstensen, Georg Breinschmid has revived the music of Stéphane Grappelli and Django Reinhardt with his own original compositions.
Hot Club de Norvege have released many CDs, DVDs, and played together with all the gypsy stars in the genre, from Stephane Grappelli to Stochelo Rosenberg and Jimmy Rosenberg,and today they are touring world wide.
Soon after playing with Reinhardt, he played in a Count Basie ensemble which also included Malcolm Mitchell and Tony Crombie; he played with both of them after leaving Basie, working together with Hoagy Carmichael and Maxine Sullivan and touring in Sweden together with Reinhardt and Stéphane Grappelli.
Since then he has performed live on tour, composed for television and film, performed as a session musician and has produced, written and arranged recording sessions with artists including Phil Collins, Hans Zimmer, Stephane Grappelli, Brian Eno, Vangelis, Rod Argent, and Gary Moore.
There are several sub festivals including the Otroški Lent (Children's Lent) which is organized to cater for the interests of children and the Lent International Jazz Festival which has attracted some of the world's most famous names including Ray Charles, B.B. King and Jose Feliciano, violinists such as Stéphane Grappelli and noted Slovene performers such as Vlado Kreslin and Zoran Predin.
Later recorded revivals of the number include those by Chet Atkins, Bo Grumpus, Eddie Condon, Stéphane Grappelli, Clancy Hayes, Keith Ingham, Spike Jones, Danny Kaye, Jeannie Carson, Lu Watters, and The Reverend Horton Heat.
In March 1945, he recorded with three different line-ups of Carlo Krahmer’s Chicagoans, including Johnny Best, Stephane Grappelli, Vic Lewis (g), Tommy Bromley (b), Lad Busby (tb), Aubrey Frank (ts) Gerry Moore (p), Don Jacoby (tp), Harry Roche (tb), Derek Hawkins (cl), Sam Donahue (ts), Rocky Collucio (p), and Bert Howard (b).
