An advertisement in the game book stated that a Star Riders comic book series would debut in May 1994, but the only Star Riders comic published was a three-part serial that appeared in the anthology series Dark Horse Presents.

John Glaholme 'Jack' Ormston (born 30 October 1909 in West Cornforth - died 22 June 2007) was a Speedway rider who finished runner-up in the Star Riders' Championship in 1935, the forerunner to the Speedway World Championship.
Most significantly, he won the "Home" Star Riders' Championship at Wimbledon on Monday 21 October, making him the first British Star Rider.
