Thomas was married to Elizabeth Keck, daughter of Anthony James Keck of Stoughton Grange; they had a son John James Calley, who sold the estate to John Parkinson, who held the estate as a trustee, for the Duke of Wellington.
They had a son Anthony James Keck who became a politician and married Elizabeth Legh (daughter of Peter Legh of Lyme).

He lived at Stoughton Grange until he moved to Lancashire in 1768 and died aged 42 years, on 28 February 1782, and is buried at St Mary and All Saints Church in Stoughton, Leicestershire.
