In the song The Land Of Ice And Snow, Timo Kotipelto, the vocalist of the Finnish heavy-metal band Stratovarius, describes Finland as the land "where Koskenkorva flows".
The album Grand Illusion, out in 2005, featured many special guests, including Jens Johansson (Stratovarius), Henrik Danhage (Evergrey), Kristoffer W. Olivius (Naglfar), Stefan Elmgren (HammerFall), and, more surprisingly, the Swedish world champion of cross-country skiing (three times world cup gold winner), Per Elofsson who comes from the same town as the band, Umeå.
In the summer of 2008 Gonella was chosen as second guitar player by Timo Tolkki (Stratovarius, Revolution Renaissance) for two Italian gigs.
The track "Fire Dance Suite" was composed by Stratovarius but was released only in Timo Tolkki's solo album Classical Variations and Themes.
