Avenue Charles de Gaulle is one of the main streets and principal commercial avenue of N'Djamena, the capital of Chad, which is named after former French president Charles de Gaulle.
His name was also given to Rollo Street in what was to be the British capital of Dominica at Portsmouth, and this street name still survives.
The street name, formerly a nickname for Ocean View Avenue, became official in January 1958 to honor John Steinbeck and his well-known novel Cannery Row.

Passing through rural Sampson County on a road with the street name Harrells Highway, NC 411 passes the western terminus of North Carolina Highway 903 and enters the town of Garland.
