He was Grenada's representative in the 2006 Carifesta Calypso Monarch Competition, where he achieved fifth place out of a group that included Destroyer, Luta, Sandra, Cro Cro and Sugar Aloes; the Kittitian Destroyer walked away with the top prize.
Singing local hits such as "Party Time" and parang favorite "Juanita", Aloes has amassed a fan base of at least three generations of Trinidadians and calypso lovers region-wide.
