Aloysius Iyorgyer Katsina-Alu (born 28 August 1941) wa a former chief justice of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
On 27 April 2007, the Supreme Court refused the appeal of the Plateau State Government and ordered the reinstatement of Dariye with immediate effect.

On March 10, 2007, after a Court of Appeals ordered Dariye reinstated as Governor, the Plateau State Government announced its intention to appeal to the Supreme Court.

In her career, Mukhtar has been many firsts: she is the first female lawyer from Northern Nigeria, first female judge of the High Court in Kano State judiciary, the first female justice of the Court of Appeal of Nigeria, the first female justice of the Supreme Court of Nigeria and the first female Chief Justice of Nigeria.
She was a Deputy Librarian at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka and was later appointed Assistant Director of Library Services at the Supreme Court of Nigeria, Abuja.
