Panepistimiou Street

Panepistimiou Street (Greek: Οδός Πανεπιστημίου) (named after the University of Athens the central building of which is on the upper corner) is a major street in Athens that runs one way for non-transit vehicles since 2002 from Amalias Avenue, Syntagma Square and Vassilissis Sofias Avenue to Omonoia Square in which is now a pedestrian crossing and before an intersection.

Stadiou Street

It is mainly a shopping street, with upscale shops clustering towards Syntagma Square and lower scale ones towards Omonoia Square.

Stadiou Street (Greek: Οδός Σταδíου, Odós Stadíou, "Stadium Street") is Athens' major street linking the Omonoia and Syntagma Squares.

The demonstration involved at least 200,000 people marching on Panepistimiou Street towards the Syntagma Square.

Hotel Grande Bretagne

It is located in central Athens immediately adjacent to Syntagma Square, on the corner of Vasileos Georgiou A' and Panepistimiou Streets, and is now part of "The Luxury Collection" hotel chain, managed by the American company Starwood Hotels & Resorts.
