The show's theme tune was Ron Grainer's theme from Man in a Suitcase, in keeping with Evans's frequent use of 1960s television themes in his work.

A snippet of "The Riverboat Song" by Ocean Colour Scene, a band particularly championed by Evans (and the very first band to play on the show, with the same song), was used as an introduction to guests, as they walked the length of a walkway up into the "bar" to be interviewed by the host.

Shortly after, his first proper gig with the band was a televised appearance on Channel 4 show TFI Friday, where the band performed "Stripper Vicar".
Frontman Grant Nicholas said the band were invited to perform the track on TFI Friday, but decided to U-turn on the band and instead gave the slot to the Stereophonics, meaning they appeared twice on the show and Feeder missed out on widespread promotion for this single.
The song was popularised by Radio 1 DJ Chris Evans, who played it frequently on his radio shows and to introduce guests on his television programme TFI Friday.
