Tirumala Venkateswara Temple have a unique collection of about 3000 copper plates on which the Telugu Sankirtans of Tallapaka Annamacharya and his descendants are inscribed.
The then executive officer of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams, Chelikani Anna Rao entrusted Sharma with elucidating the compositions of the great songwriter-singer-saint Tallapaka Annamacharya.
May 9 – Sri Tallapaka Annamacharya the mystic saint composer of the 15th century is the earliest known musician of South India to compose songs called "sankIrtanas" in praise of Lord Venkateswara, the deity of Seven Hills in Tirumala.
