The Bishop of Polynesia is currently supported by three suffragan bishops: Bishop Winston Halapua, now the new Bishop of Polynesia, formerly lead the ministry to Polynesians in New Zealand, Bishop Apimeleki Nadoki Qiliho serves Vanua Levu and Taveuni, and Bishop Gabriel Sharma serves Viti Levu West as well as the archdeacons of Suva and Ovalau, Samoa and American Samoa, and Tonga.
It serves as a terminus for ferries that cross between Vanua Levu and Taveuni.
The species was once considered conspecific with the Red Shining Parrot of Vanua Levu and Taveuni, but is now considered its own species.
The Fiji ground frog is found on four larger islands (Taveuni, Vanua Levu, Ovalau, and Gau) and a small island, Viwa, (0.6 ha) off the eastern coast of the main island (Viti Levu) of the Fiji archipelago.
The Fiji tree frog persists in subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, rivers, pastureland, plantations, rural gardens, and secondary regrowth forest habitats, on the largest islands in the Fiji group: Taveuni, Vanua Levu and Viti Levu.
The Fiji Woodswallow is endemic to the major islands of Fiji, namely Viti Levu, Vanua Levu and Taveuni.
Sing started his teaching career at Savarekareka in Savusavu and went on to become the founding principal of Wairiki Secondary School in Taveuni, Bemana Junior Secondary School in Sigatoka, Lomary Secondary School, and the first lay principal of St Johns College in Cawaci.
As the animosity intensified, Ratu Tanoa was forced into exile, firstly on Koro Island and then in Somosomo on Taveuni, where he remained until his son, Ratu Seru Cakobau led a coup in 1837, reinstalling his father as Vunivalu until his death in 1852, whereupon Cakobau inherited the title.
