Tavua, Fiji 91 kilometres from Nadi and 9 kilometres from the gold mining settlement of Vatukoula
It is based in Tavua, which is situated on the western side of the main island of Viti Levu, between the town of Rakiraki and the town of Ba.
Bligh Roosters joined the 2007 competition, Western Crusaders gave up Tavua, Vatukoula, Ba and Ra to the new franchise.

The constituency included the districts of Ba, Tavua and Ra and in a tense and sometimes violent campaign Singh lost to Koya by 3,998 to 3,480 votes.
A number of other parties operating only at the municipal level contested other town councils, some of them successfully, winning control of councils in Labasa, Lami, Levuka, Nausori, Savusavu, and Tavua.
Its main economy is sugar cane, although the establishment of Tavua township was the result of a gold mine in Vatukoula, which is in the interior of Viti Levu but easily accessible from Tavua.
