A more recent (and so far uncorroborated) source alleges that the three assailants were not college boys but actor Wallace Beery, Albert R. Broccoli (later producer of James Bond films), and Broccoli's cousin Pat DiCicco.

The Stooges rework several bits they performed with Ted Healy at MGM: the plumbing sequences are adapted from Meet the Baron and some of the waiter gags are borrowed from Beer and Pretzels.
They perform their famous "Maharaja" routine here for the first time, (later reused in their 1946 short subject Three Little Pirates) and several other bits, including some of their vaudeville material from their era with Ted Healy specifically the "Melodrama" sketch borrowed from their Healy MGM-era short Plane Nuts.
