Co-written by band members Bernard Belle and Teddy Riley, it was released as the second single from the album on February 18, 1991.
They then began writing their debut album with several well-known producers, including Teddy Riley, Rick Nowels, Billy Steinberg, Wanya Morris of Boyz II Men and Andy Whitmore.
As well as NBN the soundtrack included songs from numerous other well-known hip-hop artists such as Eric B. & Rakim, Big Daddy Kane, Too Short, Teddy Riley, EPMD, Salt-N-Pepa, and Cypress Hill.
The original group released their first single in 1993, on the soundtrack to the Universal Pictures comedy CB4 (starring Chris Rock) titled "Baby Be Mine", featuring Joseph Stonestreet on lead, produced by Teddy Riley, and written by Teddy Riley and Joseph Stonestreet.
In 2006 Teddy Riley, Mark Middleton, and Eric Williams reformed Blackstreet with new member J-Stylz and joined the New Jack Reunion Tour, which Riley created along with Tony! Toni! Tone!, After 7, SWV, and Riley's earlier group, Guy.
Middleton along with Eric Williams made their debut's with Blackstreet on the first single from their second album Another Level in the summer of 1996 called "No Diggity" featuring West Coast rapper Dr. Dre and Teddy Riley's protégé female rapper Queen Pen.
Men of Vizion is an American R&B quintet that came to fame in 1996, with the debut album, Personal, which featured the songs "Housekeeper" and "Do Thangz", produced by Teddy Riley and "Lil" Chris Smith.
In the proceeding years, they were featured on many of Teddy Riley's productions and remixes, including Michael Jackson's "She Drives Me Wild", Samuelle's "So You Like What You See", Guy's "D-O-G Me Out" and Tammy Lucas' "Is It Good to You".
