Conor O'Brien, married, first, Ellen (or Eveleen), daughter of Donald MacCormac MacCarthy Mor and widow of James FitzGerald, 14th Earl of Desmond; she died in 1560, and was buried in Muckross Abbey: secondly, Una, daughter of Turlough Mac-i-Brien-Ara, by whom he had issue three sons viz.: Donough, his heir; Teige, and Daniel, created 1st Viscount Clare and three daughters.
The first known male line descendant of Teige with a military career was Morgan William II O'Donovan.
In 1397 he assisted Edmond Earl of March, L.L. against O Brien, and in 1390 took prisoner Teige O Carrol, Prince of Elye.
Although not an architect, Teige was an articulate and knowledgeable architecture critic, an active participant in CIAM, and friends with Hannes Meyer, the second director of the Bauhaus.
