Abies numidica (Algerian Fir) is a species of fir, found only in Algeria, where it is endemic on Djebel Babor, the second-highest mountain (2,004 m) in the Algerian Tell Atlas.
Cedrus atlantica, the Atlas Cedar, is a cedar native to the Atlas Mountains of Algeria (Tell Atlas, Saharan Atlas) and Morocco (in the Rif and Middle Atlas, and locally in the High Atlas).
As a consequence, the northern slopes of the Tell Atlas are forested with the endemic Abies numidica, and Atlas Cedar, pine, and cork oak.
