Arques, Aude

The area was owned by the Abbey of Lagrasse in the early 11th century, before coming under the control of the Seigneurs of Termes.

Peyrepertuse

The castle is one of the "Five Sons of Carcassonne" along with the castles Quéribus, Puilaurens, Termes, and Aguilar, all situated atop 'unassailable' rocky peaks.


Gers

A horse race at the Auteuil Hippodrome has been named after André Boingnères, a notable local race-horse owner and the successful mayor of Termes-d'Armagnac between 1951 and 1976.
