Robert Roy Pool (born 1953) is an American screenwriter, best known for his authorship of the motion pictures Outbreak (1995), starring Dustin Hoffman, and The Big Town (1987), starring Matt Dillon.
Founded by Ricky Cool and Andy Silvester in 1984 and known as Ricky Cool and the Big Town Playboys, they covered American music from the 1940s and 1950s, such as that of Amos Milburn and Little Walter.
Sanchez and the Big Town Playboys headlined many European music festivals and worked with several noted blues musicians, such as Jimmy Nelson, Lowell Fulson, Carey Bell, Don and Dewey, Little Willie Littlefield and Joe Hughes.
