Helen McCookerybook (born Helen McCallum, now Dr Helen Reddington) was the bass guitar player and lead singer with Brighton-based punk rock band The Chefs during the late 1970s and early 1980s.
He had recently finished a degree in philosophy at Sussex University, and had played guitar in the short lived punk band, Smeggy and the Cheesybits (Smeggy would go on to be lead singer in King Kurt).

The band consisted of Helen McCookerybook (bass guitar and vocals), Carl Evans (guitar and vocals), James McCallum (Helen's brother; guitar) and Russell Greenwood (drums; died June 25, 1999).

The Irish Channel St. Patrick's Club has done activities, such as block parties, to help fundraise for different charities such as the Special Olympics; the Chrones Benefit Golf Tournament for Chrones Research; The Chefs' Charity of St. Michael's Special School; distribution of Thanksgiving food baskets and active support of The Friends of St. Alphonsus.
His son, Jérôme, manages the Chefs de France restaurant inside the French pavilion at Walt Disney World's Epcot.
The series sees the chefs Gennaro Contaldo and Antonio Carluccio travelling around Italy to see how society and food has evolved over the years.
