Murray Perahia

Since his return at the 2008 Proms season, Perahia has been continually active on the concert scene.

Philippe Graffin

He has appeared in the BBC Proms Chamber Music series and has been Artistic Director of several chamber music projects at London's Wigmore hall.


David Harsent

His work in music theatre has involved collaborations with a number of composers (but most often with Sir Harrison Birtwistle, the opera Gawain being their most notable collaboration) and has been performed at the Royal Opera House, Carnegie Hall, the Southbank Centre, The Proms, the Wiener Kammeroper, and broadcast on BBC Two, Channel 4 and Trio (USA).

Jerzy Maksymiuk

Shuna Scott Sendall

As part of her prize, Shuna performed Dich Teure Halle from Richard Wagner’s Tannhäuser followed by Tonight from West Side Story with Dame Kiri and José Carreras at BBC Proms In The Park in Hyde Park, London on Saturday 11 September 2010 and was given the opportunity to attend a three-week residential course at the Solti Te Kanawa Accademia in Italy.

Stanford Robinson

Between 1947 and 1950, Robinson was assistant conductor of the Proms, the summer and autumn concert series founded by Henry Wood and run by the BBC.

Variations on an Elizabethan Theme

As part of the 2013 season of The Proms, two more variations were commissioned by the BBC from John Woolrich and Tansy Davies, being inserted in that order before Walton's concluding variation.
