Adalbert of Saxony

In order to protect the Thuringian areas of the Archdiocese of Mainz around Erfurt and in the Eichsfeld area, archbishop Diether von Isenburg and the cathedral chapter of Mainz appointed Aldalbert, who was still a minor, in 1477 as Provisor of the city of Erfurt and High Bailiff of Rusteberg Castle in Rustenfelde in the Eichsfeld.

Billmuthausen

Roman Catholic Diocese of Fulda

Royal Westphalian Railway Company

The Royal Westphalian Railway was initially established only to fill the 32 km-long gap between Hamm and Lippstadt, connecting the Münster–Hamm line of the Munster–Hamm Railway Company (Münster-Hammer Eisenbahn-Gesellschaft) opened in 1848 with the line being constructed at the same time by the Cologne-Minden-Thuringian Connection Railway Company (Köln-Minden-Thüringischen-Verbindungs-Eisenbahn-Gesellschaft, KMTVEG).

South Harz Nature Park

The oldest known reference to a Thuringian sausage is located in the Thuringian State Archive in Rudolstadt in a transcript of a bill from an Arnstadt convent from the year 1404.

In 2006, the Deutsche Bratwurstmuseum, opened in Holzhausen, part of the Wachsenburggemeinde near Arnstadt, the first museum devoted exclusively to the Thuringian sausage.
